Summary:-
King Lear, an aging monarch, decides to divide his kingdom among his three daughters: Goneril, Regan, and Cordelia. He sets a test, asking each daughter to express her love for him to determine their shares. Goneril and Regan flatter him, while Cordelia speaks truthfully, saying she loves him as a daughter should. When he divided his kingdom among three daughters, at that time King Lear ask to his daughters and prove the love for him and two older daughters (Goneril and Regan) are flattering answer to his father but Cordelia says,I have no words to describe how much love of my father. The king Lear was a self appreciation man and this weakness to become tragedy.
Hamartia of King Lear:-
King Lear's Hamartia is a self appreciation and doesn't take right decision. Whe he divided his kingdom among three daughters we all know how he take the desison and this weakness to become tragedy of King Lear. Lear's two older daughters (Gonril and Regan) are flattering to prove love for her father and Cordelia doesn't flattering to his father, so the King Lear doesn't understand than the tragedy enter in King Lear's life.
